For the whole month of May, Real Junk Food Emporium will occupy 34-38 Boar Lane, Leeds, offering a pay-as-you-feel (PAYF) supermarket in partnership with The Real Junk Food Project to redistribute surplus, discarded and wasted food from around the city.
With edible, safe, and totally delicious food sourced from local businesses, supermarkets, restaurants, and Food Banks, this is a supermarket for everyone and anyone! To rebel against the food waste, we must all join the fight; the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak. With over 36 million tonnes of food being wasted every day in the UK, there is enough to go around!
Open 3pm-6pm daily, subject to change. All proceeds will be reinvested back into local projects associated with the cause.
Created in partnership withThe Real Junk Food Project, East St Arts, and LJ Partnership.
